We've always been critical of self-promoting divas and feel starlets who're willing to forego self-respect for two minutes in the limelight are best avoided. But even we have got to hand it to Mallika Sherawat. Her cheesy Twitter handle (MallikaLA: to signify she's living in Los Angeles) notwithstanding, Mallika is still the only Indian actress to have shook hands with US President Barrack Obama.
Her shenanigans in Hollywood get juiced for publicity, but this one ain't a small one. Here's to the Jat-lady from Haryana who's dared to go where no Indian actress has been before... and here's to her success because honestly, whatever we may say about Mallika and her crude ways, if and when she's a success, every Indian will rush with pride to share the spoils!
