Rajnikant(Superstar) Vs Amitabh Bachan

Rajinikanth  vs Amitabh Bachan
The recent buzz in the B town is that Bachchan saab will add his presence to Rajinikanth's next flick 'Rana'. The film will have super stardom with Rajinikanth playing three roles and have the towering Big B to add to its power.

The two have given big hits in the past in films like Andha Kanoon, Geraftaar and Hum. Meanwhile, the fact that Rajinikanth's earlier year hits are unabashed remakes of Amitabh Bachchan is not a secret. But this get-together of the biggest stars of the North and the South spurts one vital question in the minds of the fans – who is the King of the entertainment industry of India?

Well, Rajinikanth, known as the Thalaivar or the chief, and Big B are like demigods in India. Many argue that the two are superstars in their own rights and comparing them will be unfair. But there is definitely no harm to find out who rules India's hearts.

The soon-to-be Grandpa has been ruling Bollywood for years and is now looking strong even at 64. From his debut film Saat Hindustani to his latest release, he has proved that he is a versatile actor. In fact, there is no need to highlight his works, as everybody in the country knows every little thing about him.

Rajinikanth, on the other hand, is no doubt the king of south Indian cinema. People simply go mad over him and his films. He has been climbing the ladders of success consistently since his debut film Apoorva Raagangal. His style and dialogues have become a fest for his fans.

There is no doubt that comparing the two will be a herculean task. A recent poll conducted by a television channel showed that 82 percent of the voters favoured Rajinikanth to be the King of Indian hearts as opposed to the 18 percent who think Amitabh is the best. .

If we compare the work that the two do – Amitabh does 7 to 8 films in a year on an average while Rajinikanth does 1 film in two years. Rajinikanth charges a huge price of Rs.16 crore to Rs.35 crore per film while Amitabh is paid Rs.3 crores per film. In fact, Rajini is the second highest paid actor in Asia after Jackie Chan. Another fact to point out is that Amitabh has 20 registered fan clubs while Rajini is said to have a whooping 63,000 fan clubs across the globe. Big B endorses multiple brands while Rajinikanth does not endorse any. This limits the exposure of 'brand Rajinikanth' to Amitabh making him among the most elusive of movie stars to the general public. This makes him a more 'enigmatic' brand as compared Bachchan whose exposure levels today, have peaked.

Statistics clearly go in favour of Rajinikanth. However, the concerned actors beg to differ. Rajinikanth does not want to be compared with Amitabh. "Comparison with Amitabh disturbs me. He is my idol, an inspiration," said the superstar. He also added that Amitabh is an emperor while he is only a king. Amitabh Bachchan too is all praise for the South Indian star. He said that Rajini is a great actor and a good human being, who has reached the top position from a modest family. According to Mr. Bachchan, no actor in the country could reach the height Rajini has scaled.

Amitabh Bachchan cares about his looks and behaviour on and off screen but Rajini does not. Rajini is an actor in front of the camera but off it, he is himself and doesn't even care to cover his bald head.

Let's look at what is in store for the two great actors…

Big B's astrological chart predicts … He has a cusp of Mercury, Moon and the Sun which provides him with the strength to do unthinkable things. It is a good period for him at the career front. He is going through Ketu's dasa from January 2007 to January 2014. He will be busy acting in films throughout this period. Jupiter will be on his side and will help him come up with another unforgettable hit. The fortunate period will last up to September 2011. Saturn aspecting Ketu from the star of Moon will prompt him to take rest and work "behind" the screen as well. He may need medical attendance at this point of time. From the above analysis it seems that Mr. Bachchan is going to have a very good period till September 2011.

The Padma Bhushan Awardee Rajinikanth's vedic astrology birth chart shows enormous success in financial and professional matters. During the period of March 2010 to September 2011, Rajinikanth will face severe health issues. However, he will have some relief.

Hence, both the stars have a great time as far as career is concerned.

As for the comparison of who will rule the Indian entertainment industry, statistics are clearly in favour of the South Indian king. However, the zeal and enthusiasm with which the soon to be granddad Amitabh Bachchan is working, his future doesn't seem to be bleak at all. At best, one can easily predict that the two stars will together rule the heart of India.

Can Anybody Do Love With Malika Sherawat?

We've always been critical of self-promoting divas and feel starlets who're willing to forego self-respect for two minutes in the limelight are best avoided. But even we have got to hand it to Mallika Sherawat. Her cheesy Twitter handle (MallikaLA: to signify she's living in Los Angeles) notwithstanding, Mallika is still the only Indian actress to have shook hands with US President Barrack Obama.

Her shenanigans in Hollywood get juiced for publicity, but this one ain't a small one. Here's to the Jat-lady from Haryana who's dared to go where no Indian actress has been before... and here's to her success because honestly, whatever we may say about Mallika and her crude ways, if and when she's a success, every Indian will rush with pride to share the spoils!

Famous Controversial Girl Poonam Pandey Offered 2 corer for Big Boss Season 5?

Kingfisher calendar model Poonam Pandey who did not complete her promise to strip her clothes after Indian team wins World Cup 2011. But latest news is that she has been offered a big amount Rs. 2 crore for Big Boss 5.
Not only this, the team has also prepared one contract for her in which she has to strip her clothes completely. It is been said that the controversial lady is right now thinking about the offer. A source close to the model confirms that Poonam has offered as signing amount of Rs. 2 Crore for Big Boss 5 but she is taking into consideration whether to accept or not. Also apart from this whopping amount, there is also contract mentioning that the model have to complete her promise, to which she made during the World Cup, during the show in front of one of the ex-cricketer who would also be a contestant. And so because of this clause, Poonam is still thinking about this handsome offer.

After the World Cup controversy, the model has grabbed a few projects including Colors adventure show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 4’. However we don’t know whether she would accept the offer or not, but we are very much sure that if she had accepted with this clause then Colors TRPs will be definitely reaching to its highest point.

Use Of Internet Affects Our Memory, Find Study

New York, July 15 (ANI): Researchers have found that the widespread use of search engines and online databases is affecting the way people remember information.

To know whether people were more likely to remember information that could be easily retrieved from a computer, Betsy Sparrow, an assistant professor of psychology at Columbia and her collaborators, Daniel M. Wegner of Harvard and Jenny Liu of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, staged different memory experiments, reports the New York Times.

In one experiment where participants typed 40 bits of trivia, the team found that the subjects were significantly more likely to remember information if they thought they would not be able to find it later.

"Participants did not make the effort to remember when they thought they could later look up the trivia statement they had read," wrote the authors.

A second experiment was aimed at determining whether computer accessibility affects precisely what we remember.

"If asked the question whether there are any countries with only one colour in their flag, for example," the researchers wrote, "do we think about flags - or immediately think to go online to find out?"

In this case, participants were asked to remember both the trivia statement itself and which of five computer folders it was saved in. The researchers were surprised to find that people seemed better able to recall the folder.

"That kind of blew my mind," Dr. Sparrow said.

The experiment explores an aspect of what is known as transactive memory - the notion that we rely on our family, friends and co-workers as well as reference material to store information for us.

The Internet's effects on memory are still largely unexplored, Dr. Sparrow said, adding that her experiments had led her to conclude that the Internet has become our primary external storage system.

"Human memory," she said, "is adapting to new communications technology." (ANI)

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara Reviews

Rating:-    ***
Gener. :- :-     Drama/Romance
Story

Story:  The story revolves around three friends- Hrithik Roshan(Arjun), Farhan Akhtar (Imraan) and Abhay Deol. (Kabir). Kabir, gets engaged to Natasha (Kalki), whom he met six years ago. He, along with his other two buddies, make a pact to go on a three week road trip to Spain, which is also his extended bachelor's party. The road trip is based on a deal that each one gets to try out the ultimate sport of their choice and the other two friends have to give company to the individual taking his chance. While Arjun is a workaholic, he agrees to the plan after a lot of persistence and cajoling by the other two. The trio meet at Barcelona and set off for the adventure. Here, Arjun’s chance encounter with Laila (Katrina Kaif) changes the course of their lives. The road trip helps them mend their differences and also face their fears, for the better.

Story treatment:  The story, which is about three bachelors, has been woven beautifully and is very well presented. The first half may seem to lack some punch, for they are just seen travelling all around, playfully. While on the trip, the past differences of Arjun and Imrann crop up once again.  The scene, where Imraan meets his dad Salman, has been shot beautifully, for it showcases the intensity of  the father- son duo, who meet for the first time in nearly two decades.  'La Tomatina,' which is one the most famous festivals of Spain, has been re-created perfectly for the song ‘Ik Junoon’ and it surely flows with the story.Though, 'ZNMD' is a multi starrer, each character comes out neat and clear. The principal part of the film, has been shot at Barcelona, Pamplona, Bunyol, Andalucia in Spain, Egypt and in Mumbai. All the three adventure sports showcased in the flick, whether it's sky diving, scuba diving or the bullfighting have been shot in a lovely fashion.

The movie ends with a bull run scene, which makes way for their next pact, solving unresolved conflicts. Poetic lines in the background, by Farhan Akhtar, touch you right there.

Star Cast: This is the first time that Farhan Akhtar will be seen opposite a lead actor from one of his previous directorial films (Hrithik Roshan in Lakshya). Hrithik and Katrina as a couple, look great together on screen. Laila, as a diving instructor and free-spirited girl fits her role perfectly. Kalki and Abhay, who have shared screen space opposite each other in 'Dev D' earlier, prove themselves all over again. Kalki's track as an over protective and nagging girlfriend is tailor made. While Abhay is best at his school boy antics, Hrithik, who plays a share market guy, looks good in his role. Farhan's funny guy role will leave you in splits.

The movie also sees Suhel Sheth and Naseeruddin Shah in brief appearances and both do justice to their respective parts.
Direction:  Zoya Ahktar, sitting in the director’s chair, does a good job yet again. Zoya has played with the theme of living every moment of life to the fullest and takes one into the world of adventure. The movie has been made with a touch of sensitivity and the road trip is bound to transport you to Spain.

With loads of emotional drama, thrills and of course romance, the characters seem to come alive.
Dialogues / Cinematography / Music:  Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti share the credits for the story and the screenplay and they've done a brilliant job. The dialogues are quirky and have a punch in them. Carlos Catalan is the director of photography and he too, has done an extremely good job, especially when it comes to shooting the underwater scenes.  The songs of 'ZNMD,' which have been created by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and penned by Javed Akhtar, are quite appealing. 'Senorita,' which features Abhay, Hrithik and Farhan Akhtar, crooning away to glory, is the USP of the album.
Farhan's dialogues like ‘Darr Ke Aage Jeet Ha’ and ‘Shit Happens,’ would remind you of a famous aerated drink brand, not that you would mind that!
3 Ups and 3 Downs: Watch the flick for some light moments full of fun and laughter. The flick is packed with guy jokes and boys will surely love the humour. There's a feeling of freshness in the movie, thanks to the never seen before cast, definitely something to look out for. The road trip is bound to entertain you to the hilt.
The first part is little low on drama, as most of the time the stars are seen checking in and out of the hotels.

13/7, 3 Bomb Blats Rocks Mumbai….. 141 Injured, 21 Death

Mumbai: Terror struck Mumbai once again on Wednesday when three bomb blasts rocked some of the most crowded places of the city killing at least 21 people and injuring 141 others. The first blast took place at 6:54 PM at south Mumbai's crowded Zaveri Bazaar. Within a few minutes Opera House and Dadar, too, were hit by powerful explosions.

The explosion at Opera House, described by Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithiviraj Chavan as a "high intensity blast", took place at 6:55 PM and was followed by the one at Dadar (7:05 PM).
The blast in Zaveri Bazar took place at Khao Gali while a motorcycle was used to trigger the explosion near the two-storey JK Building at Tata Road No. 1 in Opera House. The blast at Kabootar Khana in Dadar took place in a Maruti Esteem car. Sources have told that terror group Indian Mujahideen is the prime suspect in the blasts.
The injured have been admitted to several hospitals including the JJ Hospital, GT Hospital, KEM Hospital and St George's Hospital.
Addressing the media in New Delhi, Union Home Minister P Chidambaram said that the Ministry would be issuing a statement on the blast after every two hours.
"I would appeal to the people of Mumbai and people of country to remain calm and maintain peace: Apart from three blasts. There is no information of any other blast or threat. NIA (National Investigation Authority) officers have been instructed to be associated with Mumbai Police for investigation. One CFSL (Central Forensic Science Laboratory) team from Delhi and one team from Hyderabad have been sent to Mumbai. The NSG (National Security Guards), which has hub in Mumbai, is standing by. The number of injured could be higher and death toll could rise," said Chidambaram.
Chidambaram has called a high-level meeting in the wake of the blasts.
Wednesday blasts took place just two days after the fifth anniversary of the Mumbai serial train blasts on July 11, 2006 in which at least 186 people were killed. The blasts also evoked horrific memories of serial blasts in the past as both Dadar and Zaveri Bazar have been targeted earlier too.
According to an eyewitness a fire that broke out in Zaveri Bazar following the blasts was soon brought under control.

A Border Security Force plane carrying NSG personnel, forensic experts and senior NIA officials reached Mumbai from New Delhi on Wednesday night.
However, Mumbai Police Commissioner Arup Patnaik claimed that he was not in a position to say who carried out the blasts. Patnaik also said that he could not say whether the arrest of two Indian Mujahideen terrorists was in anyway connected with the blast.
Two suspected Indian Mujahideen (IM) members Mohammed Mobin Abdul Shakoor Khan alias Irfan (32) and his cousin Ayub Raja Amin Shaikh (28) were arrested by the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad on July 6 in Mumbai.
Security alerts have been issued in all major cities including New Delhi and Kolkata after the blasts in Mumbai.
The injured have been rushed to JJ Hospital, GT Hospital, KEM Hospital and St George's Hospital.
Home Minister P Chidambaram has called a high-level meeting in the wake of the blasts.
Security alerts have been issued in all major cities including New Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Guwahati after the blasts.

Hide Facebook from your boss by converting it into an excel sheet!!!!

Melbourne, July 06 (ANI): Now, you can easily check your Facebook account at your work place without the fear of being caught by your boss.

A website developed by a university student allows you to automatically convert your Facebook news feeds into an Excel spreadsheet, reports the Herald Sun.

Users can instantly see what their friends are up to on Facebook with updates appearing as new spreadsheet rows.

Uploaded pictures and videos can be viewed by hovering over the entries, and users can interact by "liking" the updates with a simple click on the spreadsheet.

The page, with its intentionally corporate look, is slyly titled "daily cash reconciliation" so wasting work time appears to nosy onlookers as diligent financial work.

The HardlyWork.in site was created by Yale computer science major Bay Gross, 20, after a friend doing a government internship told him she had to wait until after work to read his Facebook updates. (ANI).

Reviews Of Murder 2 .......... A Fails

Murder 2 fails to tide over the bad reviews and gets bogged down at the box office, it seems pretty certain that this is the film that could well be the turning point of Prashant Narayanan’s career.
********************************************************************************

To be fair, Murder 2 is edgy, fast-paced and pretty punchy, but only in parts. Director Mohit Suri, whose work always seems to be more about flesh than soul, goes over the top, and then a bit further, with the love and lust story track featuring Emraan Hashmi and Jacqueline Fernandez. These gratuitous and desultory add-ons are devoid of any chemistry. They slow down the film and dilute its sinister air.

Songs Of The Movie

Ignore the number suffixed to the title: this film has nothing at all in common with Murder but for the fact that the psychopathic villain hums the Bheege honth tere song when he's in a particularly bad mood. In that sense, Murder 2 isn’t really a sequel.

It ventures forth with a completely new set of characters, the action pans out in Goa (and not in Bangkok) and the film's narrative rhythm follows markedly contemporary rules. There is more murder and mayhem on show in this mix.

A renegade ex-lawman, Arjun Bhaagwat, works for drug dealers and sex ring kingpins. All he is interested in is money, morality be damned, because his parents died in penury. But haven’t we already seen too many of these cynical former cops supping with the devil on our screens lately?

What’s worse is that the back story that explains the reasons behind the erstwhile policeman’s wayward ways is way too sketchy and predictable.

The twist in the Murder 2 plot is provided by a pimp whose girls inexplicably begin to vanish into a black hole. The hero is summoned to get to the bottom of the mystery of the missing prostitutes. The search leads him to a desolate house in the middle of nowhere. He suspects it to be the hub of a human trafficking racket. It turns out to be much worse.

As he grapples with his own inner demons, he stumbles upon an eerie scenario dominated by a creepy serial killer who will stop at nothing to grab his pound of flesh. As far as screen baddies go, this neurotic monster, played with spine-chilling nonchalance by Prashant Narayanan, is in a league apart.

Even though Hashmi is fairly competent as the cop who must save his own girl (Fernandez) and a college student (Sulagna Panigrahi), who has taken to prostitution to support her indigent family, from the clutches of the twisted villain, he pales before Narayanan’s bravura performance.

Not that the villain’s character is written any better than the hero’s. But Narayanan demonstrates how a gifted actor can rise above the script by sheer dint of his own intelligence and skill. Narayanan has been in a wide variety of offbeat projects over the past decade, garnering generous critical praise for his performances without ever managing to make the deserved breakthrough into the mainstream big league.

Reviews Of Bhudha Hoga Tera Baap

'Hum jahan khade ho jate hain, line wahin se shuru hoti hain,' mouths Amitabh Bachchan in his intro sequence and marks his return as the Shehenshah of Bollywood.

There's a huge list of high points in the film to talk about. But we suggest it's for you to experience. Nevertheless we can't resist mentioning Amitabh Bachchan's climax sequence where he professes some morals and banishes the goons.

Puri, who makes his debut with BBUDDAH in the Hindi film industry, comes up with a tight script. Amol Rathod's cinematography is perfect, while Vijay's stunts are stylish.

The chemistry between Big B and Hema Malini is intact; it does remind us of earlier great works. 'Mast Mast' girl Raveena Tandon does evoke some fun and has an unexpected comeback cameo. Despite the staggering presence of Big B, Sonu Sood performs his part confidently and with panache. South actor Prakash Raj, who is popular for his negative roles, once again gives a terrific performance. Watch out the scene when he meets Big B for the first time and the climax part. After being in JANNAT, Sonal Chauhan is finally back, but has nothing much to do in film. Charmi Kaur, the south sensation who has worked with biggies there, makes her Hindi debut with BBUDDAH. She is charming, funny and loveable in her small part.

BBUDDAH is purely for Amitabh Bachchan fans. A standing ovation for Amitabh Bachchan for a towering performance yet again. This man is magical! He once again proves age is no bar if a person is willing to do something. Bachchan's dynamism, his indomitable spirit and energy levels, make BBUDDAH an interesting fare.

Thank you, Mr. Bachchan for returning in what we have loved seeing over the ages and how now we feel being a 'bbuddah' that we have become with all the energy you bring. Also, a big shout to Puri for giving such a memorable film. Now a piece of advice for the dear movie buffs especially the 'Amitabh' Bachchan fans - please take your near and dear ones to a picnic called BBUDDAH.

BBUDDAH appears to be a deftly recreated work of Amitabh Bachchan's memorable films, his larger than life characters, witty dialogues, one liners and songs. BBUDDAH carries the imprints of some of Amitabh Bachchan's blockbuster films like AGNEEPATH, DEEWAR, DON, SHAHENSHAH, HUM, etc. Be it his trademark walk, emotion, speech, expression, dance and his deep baritone voice, Bachchan re-lives the moments. And the fan in you just goes berserk yearning for more!

Aishwarya's pregnancy at Rs.50 crore

While we hear new versions each day about Aishwarya Rai's sudden announcement of pregnancy and how her filmmakers have suffered because of it, here is putting a figure or call it an estimate to what AIshwarya Ray Bachan pregnancy has cost her producers.

According to Bollywood observers, Aishwarya's pregnancy and the fact that she can't do films for sometime has stalled work worth Rs.50 crore.

Adds our source, "Aishwarya had signed two films this calendar totaling Rs.50 crore.HEROINE, directed by Madhur Bhandarkar had a budget of Rs.18 crore and Rajkumar Santoshi's film with Aishwarya and Abhishek, titled LADIES & GENTLEMEN, was pegged in the upwards of Rs.30 crore budget. In fact, it was scheduled to commence in the first week of July. Now, given the fact that Ash is four months pregnant, both projects totaling a whopping Rs.50 crore are headed nowhere, courtesy the pregnant pause."

Though there are early reports that Madhur is looking for replacement for his project for which he had put in more than one year's pre-production in place, so far nothing has been confirmed by him or by his partner banner UTV. Well, though Bachchans might be basking in the happy moments of Ash's pregnancy, Bhandarkar is surely not so pleased.
