How To Lose Your Weight?

Making an Honest Commitment

Permanent weight-loss takes time and some real and hones t effort. You will need to make a commitment which may last for a lifetime. Brace yourself some drastic changes. Weight-loss will require your deep focus. Try addressing other stress-related issues in your life: financial problems, personal conflicts etc. It's understandable that such issues cannot be just wiped out completely but this will improve your focus on your weight loss programme. Once you're ready to launch your weight-loss programme, just start with it. Don't defer it for whimsical reasons.

Finding Inner Motivation
Remember, nobody else will make you shed kilos. You would need to find the motivation from within. Make a list of things which you think are capable of truly motivating you and helping you to stay focused. You should be able to fall back on these motivational factors during moments of temptation. Some such motivating factors can be: i) Your past. Recall how healthy you were a few years ago. Ii) Your girlfriend iii) Your ill-health which is a result of you being overweight. While inner motivation is most important, support of friends and family also counts a lot. Handpick such people without any sense of shame or guilt.

Setting Realistic Goals
This is kind of obvious, isn't it? But still most people struggle to ascertain realistic goals when it comes to weight-loss. Over the long term, it's best to aim for losing 0.5 to 1 kilogram a week. In order to achieve this goal, you will need to burn 500 to 1000 calories more than you consume each day. This is where a low-calorie diet and exercise come handy. Do not delude yourself by setting overzealous goals because when you are unable to achieve them, the disappointment can be a really bad. Your goals should be SMART: specific, measurable, attainable, meaningful and time-limited. An example of a SMART goal is aiming to walk for half an hour a day, five days a week for the next three months, and keeping a log of your results.

Consuming Healthier Foods
Lowering of total calorie intake is a key step in the entire process of weight-loss. This does not necessarily mean that you have to give up on taste or even ease of meal preparation. An useful way of lowering calorie-intake is to eat more and more plant-based foods - fruits, vegetables and fruit grains. Shuffle between a number of such food items so that you are not deprived of taste and of course nutrition. Kickstart the weight-loss programme by eating a healthy breakfast every day; helping yourself with at least three servings of vegetables and fruits each on a daily basis; using healthy cooking oils. Apart from this, cut down on sugars, go for low-fat dairy products and consume minimum non-vegetarian food.

Staying Active
As mentioned previously, the key to weight-loss lies in burning more calories than you consume. 3,500 calories make up 1 pound which is equal to 0.5 kg (approx.) of fat. This means that you need to burn 3,500 calories more than you total intake of calories if you aim to lose 0.5 kg of fat in a given period of time. Combining exercise with a low-calorie diet gives you the edge. Do not underestimate the importance of a good workout routine. Hit the gym under proper supervision. Go for walks. Use stairs instead of lifts. Stay active during the day as much as you can. Not only does this aids in weight-loss, other health benefits also come along.

These habits should become a way of life. Initial setbacks may occur. Do not get deterred by them. Remember, you are trying to bring a drastic change in your life. It won't happen all at once. Just stick to your healthy lifestyle and don't give up.

Rajnikant(Superstar) Vs Amitabh Bachan

Rajinikanth  vs Amitabh Bachan
The recent buzz in the B town is that Bachchan saab will add his presence to Rajinikanth's next flick 'Rana'. The film will have super stardom with Rajinikanth playing three roles and have the towering Big B to add to its power.

The two have given big hits in the past in films like Andha Kanoon, Geraftaar and Hum. Meanwhile, the fact that Rajinikanth's earlier year hits are unabashed remakes of Amitabh Bachchan is not a secret. But this get-together of the biggest stars of the North and the South spurts one vital question in the minds of the fans – who is the King of the entertainment industry of India?

Well, Rajinikanth, known as the Thalaivar or the chief, and Big B are like demigods in India. Many argue that the two are superstars in their own rights and comparing them will be unfair. But there is definitely no harm to find out who rules India's hearts.

The soon-to-be Grandpa has been ruling Bollywood for years and is now looking strong even at 64. From his debut film Saat Hindustani to his latest release, he has proved that he is a versatile actor. In fact, there is no need to highlight his works, as everybody in the country knows every little thing about him.

Rajinikanth, on the other hand, is no doubt the king of south Indian cinema. People simply go mad over him and his films. He has been climbing the ladders of success consistently since his debut film Apoorva Raagangal. His style and dialogues have become a fest for his fans.

There is no doubt that comparing the two will be a herculean task. A recent poll conducted by a television channel showed that 82 percent of the voters favoured Rajinikanth to be the King of Indian hearts as opposed to the 18 percent who think Amitabh is the best. .

If we compare the work that the two do – Amitabh does 7 to 8 films in a year on an average while Rajinikanth does 1 film in two years. Rajinikanth charges a huge price of Rs.16 crore to Rs.35 crore per film while Amitabh is paid Rs.3 crores per film. In fact, Rajini is the second highest paid actor in Asia after Jackie Chan. Another fact to point out is that Amitabh has 20 registered fan clubs while Rajini is said to have a whooping 63,000 fan clubs across the globe. Big B endorses multiple brands while Rajinikanth does not endorse any. This limits the exposure of 'brand Rajinikanth' to Amitabh making him among the most elusive of movie stars to the general public. This makes him a more 'enigmatic' brand as compared Bachchan whose exposure levels today, have peaked.

Statistics clearly go in favour of Rajinikanth. However, the concerned actors beg to differ. Rajinikanth does not want to be compared with Amitabh. "Comparison with Amitabh disturbs me. He is my idol, an inspiration," said the superstar. He also added that Amitabh is an emperor while he is only a king. Amitabh Bachchan too is all praise for the South Indian star. He said that Rajini is a great actor and a good human being, who has reached the top position from a modest family. According to Mr. Bachchan, no actor in the country could reach the height Rajini has scaled.

Amitabh Bachchan cares about his looks and behaviour on and off screen but Rajini does not. Rajini is an actor in front of the camera but off it, he is himself and doesn't even care to cover his bald head.

Let's look at what is in store for the two great actors…

Big B's astrological chart predicts … He has a cusp of Mercury, Moon and the Sun which provides him with the strength to do unthinkable things. It is a good period for him at the career front. He is going through Ketu's dasa from January 2007 to January 2014. He will be busy acting in films throughout this period. Jupiter will be on his side and will help him come up with another unforgettable hit. The fortunate period will last up to September 2011. Saturn aspecting Ketu from the star of Moon will prompt him to take rest and work "behind" the screen as well. He may need medical attendance at this point of time. From the above analysis it seems that Mr. Bachchan is going to have a very good period till September 2011.

The Padma Bhushan Awardee Rajinikanth's vedic astrology birth chart shows enormous success in financial and professional matters. During the period of March 2010 to September 2011, Rajinikanth will face severe health issues. However, he will have some relief.

Hence, both the stars have a great time as far as career is concerned.

As for the comparison of who will rule the Indian entertainment industry, statistics are clearly in favour of the South Indian king. However, the zeal and enthusiasm with which the soon to be granddad Amitabh Bachchan is working, his future doesn't seem to be bleak at all. At best, one can easily predict that the two stars will together rule the heart of India.

Can Anybody Do Love With Malika Sherawat?

We've always been critical of self-promoting divas and feel starlets who're willing to forego self-respect for two minutes in the limelight are best avoided. But even we have got to hand it to Mallika Sherawat. Her cheesy Twitter handle (MallikaLA: to signify she's living in Los Angeles) notwithstanding, Mallika is still the only Indian actress to have shook hands with US President Barrack Obama.

Her shenanigans in Hollywood get juiced for publicity, but this one ain't a small one. Here's to the Jat-lady from Haryana who's dared to go where no Indian actress has been before... and here's to her success because honestly, whatever we may say about Mallika and her crude ways, if and when she's a success, every Indian will rush with pride to share the spoils!

Famous Controversial Girl Poonam Pandey Offered 2 corer for Big Boss Season 5?

Kingfisher calendar model Poonam Pandey who did not complete her promise to strip her clothes after Indian team wins World Cup 2011. But latest news is that she has been offered a big amount Rs. 2 crore for Big Boss 5.
Not only this, the team has also prepared one contract for her in which she has to strip her clothes completely. It is been said that the controversial lady is right now thinking about the offer. A source close to the model confirms that Poonam has offered as signing amount of Rs. 2 Crore for Big Boss 5 but she is taking into consideration whether to accept or not. However we don’t know whether she would accept the offer or not, but we are very much sure that if she had accepted with this clause then Colors TRPs will be definitely reaching to its highest point.

Use Of Internet Affects Our Memory, Find Study

New York, July 15 (ANI): Researchers have found that the widespread use of search engines and online databases is affecting the way people remember information.

To know whether people were more likely to remember information that could be easily retrieved from a computer, Betsy Sparrow, an assistant professor of psychology at Columbia and her collaborators, Daniel M. Wegner of Harvard and Jenny Liu of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, staged different memory experiments, reports the New York Times.

In one experiment where participants typed 40 bits of trivia, the team found that the subjects were significantly more likely to remember information if they thought they would not be able to find it later.

"Participants did not make the effort to remember when they thought they could later look up the trivia statement they had read," wrote the authors.

A second experiment was aimed at determining whether computer accessibility affects precisely what we remember.

"If asked the question whether there are any countries with only one colour in their flag, for example," the researchers wrote, "do we think about flags - or immediately think to go online to find out?"

In this case, participants were asked to remember both the trivia statement itself and which of five computer folders it was saved in. The researchers were surprised to find that people seemed better able to recall the folder.

"That kind of blew my mind," Dr. Sparrow said.

The experiment explores an aspect of what is known as transactive memory - the notion that we rely on our family, friends and co-workers as well as reference material to store information for us.

The Internet's effects on memory are still largely unexplored, Dr. Sparrow said, adding that her experiments had led her to conclude that the Internet has become our primary external storage system.

"Human memory," she said, "is adapting to new communications technology." (ANI)

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara Reviews

Rating:-    ***
Gener. :- :-     Drama/Romance
Story

Story:  The story revolves around three friends- Hrithik Roshan(Arjun), Farhan Akhtar (Imraan) and Abhay Deol. (Kabir). Kabir, gets engaged to Natasha (Kalki), whom he met six years ago. He, along with his other two buddies, make a pact to go on a three week road trip to Spain, which is also his extended bachelor's party. The road trip is based on a deal that each one gets to try out the ultimate sport of their choice and the other two friends have to give company to the individual taking his chance. While Arjun is a workaholic, he agrees to the plan after a lot of persistence and cajoling by the other two. The trio meet at Barcelona and set off for the adventure. Here, Arjun’s chance encounter with Laila (Katrina Kaif) changes the course of their lives. The road trip helps them mend their differences and also face their fears, for the better.

Story treatment:  The story, which is about three bachelors, has been woven beautifully and is very well presented. The first half may seem to lack some punch, for they are just seen travelling all around, playfully. While on the trip, the past differences of Arjun and Imrann crop up once again.  The scene, where Imraan meets his dad Salman, has been shot beautifully, for it showcases the intensity of  the father- son duo, who meet for the first time in nearly two decades.  'La Tomatina,' which is one the most famous festivals of Spain, has been re-created perfectly for the song ‘Ik Junoon’ and it surely flows with the story.Though, 'ZNMD' is a multi starrer, each character comes out neat and clear. The principal part of the film, has been shot at Barcelona, Pamplona, Bunyol, Andalucia in Spain, Egypt and in Mumbai. All the three adventure sports showcased in the flick, whether it's sky diving, scuba diving or the bullfighting have been shot in a lovely fashion.

The movie ends with a bull run scene, which makes way for their next pact, solving unresolved conflicts. Poetic lines in the background, by Farhan Akhtar, touch you right there.

Star Cast: This is the first time that Farhan Akhtar will be seen opposite a lead actor from one of his previous directorial films (Hrithik Roshan in Lakshya). Hrithik and Katrina as a couple, look great together on screen. Laila, as a diving instructor and free-spirited girl fits her role perfectly. Kalki and Abhay, who have shared screen space opposite each other in 'Dev D' earlier, prove themselves all over again. Kalki's track as an over protective and nagging girlfriend is tailor made. While Abhay is best at his school boy antics, Hrithik, who plays a share market guy, looks good in his role. Farhan's funny guy role will leave you in splits.

The movie also sees Suhel Sheth and Naseeruddin Shah in brief appearances and both do justice to their respective parts.
Direction:  Zoya Ahktar, sitting in the director’s chair, does a good job yet again. Zoya has played with the theme of living every moment of life to the fullest and takes one into the world of adventure. The movie has been made with a touch of sensitivity and the road trip is bound to transport you to Spain.

With loads of emotional drama, thrills and of course romance, the characters seem to come alive.
Dialogues / Cinematography / Music:  Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti share the credits for the story and the screenplay and they've done a brilliant job. The dialogues are quirky and have a punch in them. Carlos Catalan is the director of photography and he too, has done an extremely good job, especially when it comes to shooting the underwater scenes.  The songs of 'ZNMD,' which have been created by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and penned by Javed Akhtar, are quite appealing. 'Senorita,' which features Abhay, Hrithik and Farhan Akhtar, crooning away to glory, is the USP of the album.
Farhan's dialogues like ‘Darr Ke Aage Jeet Ha’ and ‘Shit Happens,’ would remind you of a famous aerated drink brand, not that you would mind that!
3 Ups and 3 Downs: Watch the flick for some light moments full of fun and laughter. The flick is packed with guy jokes and boys will surely love the humour. There's a feeling of freshness in the movie, thanks to the never seen before cast, definitely something to look out for. The road trip is bound to entertain you to the hilt.
The first part is little low on drama, as most of the time the stars are seen checking in and out of the hotels.
